Here is a message from our trainer and coach Brooke: As a Western New York native, I began figure skating at the age of three. When my mother signed me up for my first lesson, she had no idea how deeply the sport would impact my life. I have a passion for the ice. As I became older, I realized that my passion for the sport is transferable to the students I work with and I look forward to passing it on to them. It is my goal to be able to effectuate improvement in the quality of my students’ abilities.
Here we focus on identifying strengths and weaknesses.
While using one’s strengths as a tool to drive towards success, we narrow in on the areas that need enhancement. This strategy is applied in both on and off-ice training.
As a skater myself, I understand the struggles one may face.
Through my life experience, I found a strategy that was effective in helping me attain my goals. I then began pursuing my formal education, which has enabled me to share my knowledge and experience with others.
While my passion for the ice runs deep, my education is not limited to sport-specific training. If your goal is to get healthier and stronger, I am ready and willing to help you realize your full potential!
In June 2012, she began providing off-ice training as a certified member of the National Federation of Personal Trainers. She specializes in building core strength, and increasing stability through dynamic body weight and resistance exercises, all the while maintaining and increasing flexibility.
